PrimeXBT Launches Cent-Denominated MT5 Account for Beginners
Abstract:PrimeXBT has launched a US-cent-denominated MT5 account that lets beginners and risk-conscious traders trade live markets with smaller position sizes. The Cent Account, announced August 11, 2026, scales one lot to roughly 0.01 standard lots and supports leverage up to 1:1000 across forex, metals, and crypto CFDs.

PrimeXBT, a global multi-asset broker headquartered in Castries, Saint Lucia, has expanded its MetaTrader 5 offering with the launch of a Cent Account, the company announced on August 11, 2026. The new account type is designed to give beginners and risk-conscious traders a way to trade live markets with significantly smaller position sizes than a standard account allows.
The Cent Account is denominated in US cents rather than US dollars, meaning a $10 deposit appears as 1,000 USC inside the MT5 platform. The client's Personal Area continues to display the balance in USD for clarity.
How the Cent Account Works
Unlike a standard MT5 account where balances and trade sizes are quoted in dollars, the Cent Account shifts the denomination to cents. This scaling changes how position sizes behave: one lot on the Cent Account equals approximately 0.01 of a standard lot, or 100,000 cents. In practice, this means a trader can open positions that represent a fraction of the financial exposure of a standard account, while still experiencing real-time price movements, spreads, and execution.
The account supports leverage of up to 1:1000 and provides access to Forex Majors and Minors, Gold, Silver, and Bitcoin and Ether CFDs. Swap-free functionality and eligible bonus programs are available under the same terms as other supported MT5 account types.
Bridging the Gap Between Demo and Live Trading
Jonatan Randin, Senior Market Analyst at PrimeXBT, framed the Cent Account as a tool for traders who struggle with the psychological leap from simulated to real-money trading. “Many traders find that moving from a demo account to live trading is one of the biggest psychological hurdles in their trading journey,” Randin said. “A Cent Account provides a practical next step by allowing traders to experience real market conditions while keeping position sizes smaller.”
The broker positions the account for three groups: beginners entering live markets for the first time, risk-conscious traders who want to limit exposure, and experienced traders testing new strategies without committing full-sized capital. As traders gain confidence, they can move through PrimeXBT's broader MT5 account range.
A Four-Account MT5 Lineup
The Cent Account joins three existing MT5 account types, namely Standard, ZeroStop, and Pro, to complete PrimeXBT's lineup. The broker, which has operated since 2018 and serves traders in more than 150 countries, offers Forex, CFDs on indices, commodities, shares, crypto, and Crypto Futures across its platform.
The addition of a cent-denominated option brings PrimeXBT into line with brokers that already offer micro-scale trading accounts, a category that has grown as retail trading platforms seek to lower the barrier to live-market participation.
